Siren
By: Ellen Millman
She took the only breath he had,
Owning it to make her glad.
Her happiness for his confusion,
Living in this swift delusion.
Pain as such...is always learned,
Endowed with torture...loved...then burned.
Layers of this heart repealed,
Ripping wounds that once were healed.
Taking on a new design,
So hesitant to make it shine.
For others follow; what they know...
Does resinate a selfish glow.
Hovering, the wait is long,
To learn another's siren song.
Knowledge is her finest hour,
Deep underneath she feels his power.
Leading him with gentle touch,
Knowing he needs her too much.
