"There could be no rivals, no challenges to the Iron Throne. He would have no one seek to take power from him again."

"I saw you there." Azurius clenched his eyes shut, knowing he would never make it any further. "Do not spit such bitter lies at me traitor. Be gone and let me die."

"How many of the others were murdered that day?" The shade's cold hand was upon his shoulder. Azurius flung himself away from it, the icy touch drawing up more visions. He would not see them, nor give in to their lies.

"He betrayed you, brother, not I."

"Enough!"

"Do not destroy yourself." The shade hovered to his side, reaching out. "Our family can be whole once more, the treachery that split us apart washed clean."

"Never touch me again, shade," Azurius rasped, forcing the words out with his last breath. "I have no brother."
