Originator's face became brighter. "Hey, that's not a bad idea at all! I'm going to write the rules down at once. Maybe it would be better if I went to the workshop."
"Can I help Thee somehow?"
"Yes. You could pick out the most suitable individual among those creatures to whom I could deliver the rules. You know--one with personal integrity and dignity. When you find him, inspire him to come to the proper place to pick them up. Let's get to work."
After a time, Originator returned to the flight deck. A cherub followed him carrying the new rules and then loaded them in the luggage compartment of the landing
module.
“Is everything ready there below?"
"Yes, sir," replied Spir. "I've arranged the chosen place and the most favorable weather, too. The representative is expecting Thee there. May I ask Thee something?"
Originator nodded tacitly.
"Why is this particular race--among the many others we've cloned so far--so close to Thy heart? What's so special about them?"
Originator smiled inwardly. "Their genome is unique in a way."
"I see. Thou means because of the likeness between them and..."
"I mean I must look after them before they sink deeper into bad habits."
"I understand, sir. The automacity on your module was adjusted properly; Thou needn't do anything."
"Excellent. I hope there won't be any trouble landing on Mount Sinai?"
"Don't worry about it, sir. Moses is waiting for Thee."
