The basement door leading into the office opened with a flourish. Harold strode to the front to
meet CEO Goodall. “Welcome Sir to the Department of Idea Tailoring. I hope your day is going well.
We all here have been looking forward to your visit.” CEO Goodall thanked Harold for his kindness
and professionalism.
“I can smell money here, Longarms. I looked over spreadsheet and am very pleased with what I
saw. Ideas coming from here keep the upstairs writers busy. I like that. May I walk around, Longarms,
and meet the troops?” CEO Goodall waited for agreement from Harold, who gave it.
Harold fell behind the CEO as the inspection began. The writers glanced up as the CEO
examined their desktops. The CEO leaned over to Harold and whispered, “very neat… tidy… I like it.”
Harold's efforts to tidy up the desktops the night before paid off. As the CEO approached the back of
the room, he stopped and said to Harold, “Damn noisy,” and turned to return to the front of the office.
As the CEO strolled past Jake, Jake coughed loudly.
Jake stood up at his desk. The CEO was startled someone would disturb his inspection. The
Chimpanzee was dwarfed by the towering CEO. “Sir, I have this sure fire idea.” The CEO looked at the
chimp and nodded his head. “This gorilla works at a bank, is killed over a money transaction... his wife
is in danger and he comes back to...”
Jay dropped a tray of pens from his desk and glared at Jake. The room went quiet. Rumbles
started.
“Well that was a rough idea.”
Rumbles from the room subsided.
“I am working on another idea, it's an army camp and the officer Gorilla finds the chimps
flinging...”
Groans came from around the room.
