Inconsiderate
By: L. M. Mercer
Editor's Note:
As some of you may know, due to the 'playful' and friendly banter between
author and poet L.M. Mercer and one of our own movie reviewers, L.M. is a
registered nurse, who apparently works at a facility where they deal with
patients who are obviously not in the best of health, either physically
or mentally (no offense, meant there, Reaper). The following poem was
written, according to Nurse Mercer, about a patient who was especially
difficult to work with and I have it on good authority she is 'not'
speaking of our own Reaper Rick, although the description does sound
disturbingly familiar. TDS.
Your life's in the toilet, so you treat me like crap.
You're not happy, so no one else can be, either.
You scream and you yell, to get more attention.
You treat me without respect, then expect my assistance.
You do not request, you always demand.
You can not do for yourself, but require my help to live.
You just don't understand; you don't even try to.
Your actions cause reactions and consequences result.
You treat others like dirt, then complain when they leave.
You are unable to do for yourself, so you require our care.
You need to change your ways, or I'll leave you all alone.

About the Author
|

Even though she has been writing for some time, L. M. Mercer has never
had her work viewed by the public at large. She had mainly used writing
as a release for her stressful existence (never intending for others to
read her poems), but was badgered into submitting some pieces by friend
and coworker, Kevin Magnus, who told her to 'Stop wasting your talent'.
While never admitting to him that she is very grateful for his badgering,
she will henceforth share with us her talent, both lyrical and oft times
somber, now that she is our newest contributor to the "World of Myth".
