The name was unfamiliar to the boy, but he tried to repeat it.
"Chri...Chris...Crinkle?" he muttered.
"Ah, well, I suppose Chris Cringle would be close enough," he said and
laughed. "Now, off ye get to bed, lad. I must be on me way." He waved
and moved through the door.
The boy followed him outside and stood with his mouth open in amazement
as he watched the sleigh and eight reindeer lift off the ground and fly
away.
Chircrin looked back and seeing the boy standing in the snow, gave him a wave and a hearty laugh. "Ho, Ho, Ho," he cried and as the sleigh disappeared into the darkness, he added, "A Merry Christmas to all and to
all a Good Night!"
